We began the journey by taking the train. No one had shown us the way, so after quickly stopping to ask the kind stranger the way to the station we finally arrived. After about an hour we had arrived at the Waterloo London which ended up putting us in the central part of London. We left the station and headed out to be greeted by the London Eye. We knew that we wanted to see all the city so we took a ride on it. Below are the best of the pictures I took from the Eye.

It was so lovely to be able to try and observe everything at once. And at night with all the lights shining, it was absolutely stunning. After our ride we decided that we wanted to get some dinner. We walked down on the Westminster Bridge, receiving a better view of Big Ben, and then heading off to The Red Lion. It was a delicious meal, and now realizing that potatoes is a main staple in a British diet. I wanted to get the full experience, allowing myself a glass of wine with my meal before departing to look at more of the city.
Up close and personal with Big Ben
Cheers. Xx
A fantastic meal
From then on we just went up and down Westminster taking in the sights and just having a casual day trying to soak up as much of the city as we could before heading back on the train to return to the school. Here are some more pictures of what I caught from that night in London.
Everyone needs a shot of this
St. Margarets (I believe)
The next day that followed was just as exciting! We went to Windsor to see one of the many castles that the queen lived in. Although we were not allowed to take pictures once inside it was amazing all the rooms we were able to see. There were so many extravagant gifts given to the royal families, such as pistols and china. There was also a room devoted entirely to all the crests. I was amazed to see them all. I am regretting not taking the audio tour along with me so I would have more to report back to everyone, but it was really a treasure to see the place. We had a lot of free time, so a group of us ventured around the town having lunch and doing some light shopping. All too quickly it was time to go back on the bus and depart back to the school. I am hoping all of my weekends are as exciting as this one has been. I have made many friends and hope to continue making more as the days progress.
